The Nest
Organization of a traditional Ouessant’s house into an accommodation for a couple of ornithologist. I was inspired by the nests on the cliffs of the island. Indeed, I recreate one into the house. Thereby, when we enter the house, we are facing a nest that seems to float above our heads, inaccessible to visitors. It is highlighted by the contrast between the mineral and geometrical world of the stone and the one vegetal and organic of braided rush, which compose the nest. The latter contains the most private space : the bedroom. In the interest of ecology and low importation cost, a big part of the material come from the island like the sheep wool, the rush, the stone, the wood...
